A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDER

Risen Faith was created from a simple desire—to remind every listener that hope is alive, and Jesus is still writing beautiful stories out of broken places. I wanted there to be a space where people could come as they are and find encouragement for their walk with God. My prayer is that through this podcast, you step into the call that the Lord has on your life; you hear truth spoken with love; you are strengthened in your faith, challenged to grow, and reminded again and again that God is near, intentional and deeply invested in your life. I believe that you were created with a purpose, called by name, and invited into a relationship with God who never gives up on you. I hope Risen Faith becomes a place that you can be all that He created you to be.

KNOWN LOCAL DOCTRINE

  • Known affirms the Bible as the inspired, perfect Word of God, authoritative for doctrine, practice, and life.

  • God is revealed in three distinct persons; Father, Son (Jesus), and Holy Spirit.

  • Man, created in God’s image, fell into sin through Adam’s rebellion, resulting in alienation from God, corruption in every aspect of life, and the distortion of all creation, leaving reconciliation through God’s undeserved grace as our only hope.

  • We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone.

  • We believe the gospel is the good news of Jesus Christ, centered on his death and resurrection according to the Scriptures, by which God saves and sanctifies individuals, forms a redeemed people under Christ the true King, and restores his creation.

  • We believe that through Christ’s obedient life and sacrificial death, God justifies sinners by grace alone through faith alone, crediting them with Christ’s righteousness and leading them into obedient lives for His glory.

  • We believe that God’s people form the universal church, manifested in local churches of which Christ is the Head. As his body, the church serves as the presence of God’s kingdom, reconciling peoples, and displaying the new world in which members live for God and their neighbor.

  • Not all are called to marriage. Singleness is a dignified vocation with unique ways to serve God and the world. Marriage, created by God as the union of one man and one woman, unites spouses in one flesh, forms the foundation of family, and images Christ’s faithful love for the Church. Within marriage, spouses assume complementary roles reflecting Christ and the Church, and sexual intimacy is rightly expressed only within this covenant. Faithful obedience in marriage and singleness alike honors God and reflects his design for human flourishing.

  • We believe in the personal, bodily return of Jesus Christ with his angels, when he will judge the living and the dead and fully establish his eternal kingdom. On that day, the righteous will enjoy resurrection and eternal life in the new heaven and new earth, the unjust will face eternal punishment, all evil will be removed, creation will be renewed, and the church presented faultless before God, to the praise of his glorious grace.
